Dear Friends of Awestruck,                                                                                                       December 13, 2005

A November Banquet

The Dorado Project Fall Dinner – 2005 proved to be both an elegant and a successful way to bring Awestruck’s family members side by side as never before. From our Board of Directors a very warm thanks to everyone who attended, participated and or helped offset a significant portion of the evening’s expenses. Very special thanks to Charla Pereau, the visionary behind Foundation For His Ministry situated in Vicente Guerrero BCN, for her keynote appearance.

Resignation & Relocation

For more than a decade my wife Bridget has run and managed a very successful jewelry business for Saks Fifth Avenue here in Naples, Florida. As a result of countless prayers and her study of the Almighty’s faithfulness toward the patriarchs of Genesis Bridget resigned from her position in order to join me in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Bridget’s awe-inspiring expression of faith is an answer to my prayers. During and after every trip to Mexico my mind, heart and spirit affirmed that in order to effectively start house churches amid Baja Californians we have to live in the midst of them. Once our daughters have completed the school year of 2006 we will be moving to the Mexican state of Baja California Norte to share the love of Christ. Please pray for a smooth transition.

The Rationale

As you commute to your place of worship this week we challenge you to count the number of churches that can effortlessly be seen along the way. No doubt, in stark contrast to your findings is the region we are called to work in ~ Baja’s midriff. In this portion of Mexico you can travel hundreds of miles with no evangelical churches in sight. The underlying principles of the Dorado Project aim to change the scarcity of New Testament churches in central Baja. The Cobb family’s personal presence in Mexico will permit us to develop a load of intimate relationships and lead many more international teams into the targeted communities. Pray that God’s Spirit will begin to open doors in the numerous unreached towns.

In His Grip,

Rev. Byron H. Cobb
